Led by senior staff who are members of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ) and Certified Environmental Practitioners (CEnvP), our team of highly qualified, motivated and experienced ecologists are leaders in our profession.

With well-honed botanical and zoological survey skills, skills in GIS and data analysis and expert knowledge of the issues and threats relevant to the biota of the ACT and broader region, the Capital Ecology team offers innovative and consistently dependable solutions.

With fully-equipped 4WD vehicles and recovery-trained staff, Capital Ecology can confidently and safely access remote or difficult to access sites. Capital Ecology owns all standard ecological survey equipment as well as many specialist items.  With trained personnel and access to a fully-equipped workshop, Capital Ecology can also design and construct survey equipment to test novel or experimental survey techniques.

Dr Monica Campbell

Senior Ecologist

BSc (Hons), PhD, MEIANZ, CEnvP

Monica is a Senior Ecologist with Ecological Survey and Management and will provide quality assurance services to Capital Ecology under a standing offer agreement.

Monica has ten years consulting experience in eastern Australia. She is highly experienced in the design and implementation of ecological field surveys, including targeted surveys for threatened plant species, and the translation of botanical information into assessments of fauna habitat values and functions.

Dr Sam Reid BSC (Hons), PhD (Ecology)

Senior Ecologist

Sam is experienced in assessing the ecology of the ACT and Southern Tablelands of NSW, and has done so in both the public and private sector.  He has completed, contributed to, and managed numerous ecological assessments projects during his career.

Shannon is a field ecologist assisting in surveying and reporting on the ecology of the ACT and Southern Tablelands of NSW, with experience identifying native and exotic flora and fauna species across the region.

Consultant Ecologist

Catherine is an ecologist with experience in flora and fauna ecology, conservation and management. She has experience working in academic, government and not-for-profit roles across a range of projects in reserves and agricultural landscapes in the ACT and south-east NSW.
