Lucy has experience in vegetation surveys and identification, including flora diversity surveys, mapping of vegetation communities to plant community types and assessment of plant communities against EPBC/BC Act threatened ecological community thresholds. Lucy has also undertaken a variety of fauna surveys including deployment of camera traps, bird trapping and handling (mist-netting, snares and traps), radiotelemetry, ANABAT acoustic monitoring and analysis, underwater fish and marine habitat surveys, various woodland bird survey methodologies, and targeted surveys for the Superb Parrot, Glossy Black-cockatoo, Pink-tailed Worm-Lizard, Striped Legless Lizard, Golden Sun Moth and other threatened fauna species.

Projects focussed on threatened species (Superb Parrots, Glossy Black-cockatoos, Pink-tailed Worm-lizard), threatened ecological communities (Box-Gum Grassy Woodland, Alpine Ash Forest) and riparian systems. Lucy has developed skills in project design, delivery, stakeholder and community engagement, field site assessments, restoration techniques, and contractor management. Lucy has prepared a variety of consultant reports, including Ecological Impact Assessments (EIA), Ecological Values and Constraints Assessments (EVCA), reports on targeted surveys for threatened species and ecological communities, reports on pre-clearance and post-clearance monitoring, as well as scientific research papers. She is a skilled communicator, running many biodiversity workshops and large community planting events.  Lucy also presented her Honours research in marine ecology at a local conference, where she was awarded the Junior Presentation Award.
